Description
This training provides an essential overview of the Los Angeles County Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Bureau (SAPC) provider network, ensuring that provider staff are well-equipped to deliver high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care. The training covers key topics, including an overview of the Specialty Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Plan in Los Angeles County, treatment benefits, patient rights and responsibilities, problem resolution processes, documentation and billing protocols, overview of Federal privacy regulations, workplace safety, cultural competency, and ethical considerations. This orientation streamlines staff onboarding, enhances patient education, and ensures compliance with state requirements while promoting consistency in service delivery and improved patient outcomes.

Format
This online course consists of a provider orientation video with voice-over narration and closed captions for accessibility. There is no reading component; participants will receive all necessary information by watching or listening to the video.
Process
Participants will watch or listen to the provider orientation video. At the end of the training, they must achieve at least an 80% passing score on the final assessment to complete the course and receive CE credits. A certificate of completion will be available for download upon successful completion.
